Biography

Dr. Nowell Marshall (he/him) is assistant professor of English at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ where he teaches composition, professional and technical writing, and journalism.

He is the author of Romanticism, Gender, and Violence (Bucknell, 2013) and essays on queer and trans gothic (1764-present), LGBT literature, and speculative fiction and film.

At previous institutions, he has taught British literature (1750-1900), American literature (post-1900), speculative fiction (science fiction, fantasy and horror), literature and theory survey courses, film and media studies, and web design. He also served as acting director of a gender and sexuality studies program where he was affiliated faculty for nine years. He loves monsters, gender studies, cats, plants and HGTV.
