In less than an hour, you can help save up to three lives. Those lives could be family, friends and those you鈥檝e never met. All you need to do is donate one pint of blood.
杏吧原创 (GGC) is hosting its first blood drive of the fall semester on campus from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the A and H crossing, between buildings A and H, on Friday, August 22. Parking is available at the GGC parking deck located off Collins Hill Road, north of Collins Industrial Way.
"Donating blood is a great way to help others, and at GGC we have a tradition of answering the call every time," said JP Peters, assistant director of Student Outreach and Service.
While many of the expected donors are students, faculty and staff, the blood drive is open to the public.
"We encourage people to sign up for a time to donate. Walk-ups are also welcome," Peters added. LifeSouthNEGA, a non-profit community blood supplier, will be on campus for the event. To reserve a time, visit and click on the GGC blood drive.
All donors will receive a $25 e-gift card and a free t-shirt.
